Tungsten plates rolling process

Tungsten plate rolling can be divided into hot rolling, warm rolling and cold rolling. Due to the deformation resistance of tungsten, the ordinary roll cannot meet the requirements of tungsten plate rolling, so the roll of special material should be used. When rolling, the roll should be preheated. According to different rolling conditions, the preheating temperature is 100 ~ 350℃.The relative density of the blank (the ratio of the actual density to the theoretical density) is greater than 90%, and the processing performance is good when the blank density is 92 ~ 94%.The rolling temperature of hot rolling is between 1350 ~ 1500℃.The beginning temperature of warm rolling is 1200℃, the thickness of 8 mm hot rolling plate, through the warm rolling up to 0.5 mm. Due to the deformation resistance of tungsten plate, the bending deformation of the roll body during rolling makes the plate thickness uneven along the width direction. The ductile-brittleness transition temperature of 0.5 mm thick plate is still at room temperature or above, and the sheet is brittle. The sheet should be rolled into 0.2 mm at 200 ~ 500℃.In the later stage of rolling, the tungsten sheet is thin and long. In order to ensure the uniform heating of the sheet, it is often coated with graphite or molybdenum disulphide, which is not only conducive to the heating of the sheet, but also has the lubrication effect during processing.
