Four kinds of titanium welded pipe processing methods

Titanium welded pipe generally has the following four processing methods:

1. Pressure plate welded titanium pipe: compared with the multi-seam "shrimp" type titanium pipe, the welding seam is correspondingly less, but the pressure plate process is more complicated, requires a lot of molds, consumes more materials and processes, and the welding seam will also affect the corrosion resistance, and the appearance is not ideal.

2. Multi-weld type (commonly known as "shrimp waist" type) titanium tube: its processing technology is complex. It is usually used to cut the tube into a multi-section bevel, welded or under the plate into multi-section unfolding material, and then rolled welding. Because the weld will greatly reduce the corrosion resistance, easy to leak, and poor appearance, the inner surface is folded, increase the pipeline transmission resistance and increase the back erosion corrosion and reduce the life.

3. Stamping titanium welded pipe: The titanium tube titanium tube seems to be no difference between appearance and push system, but the process is to bloom on the rush of song in the stamping die stamping forming, forming process of titanium tube back tension, and forced the thin back, caused by compression of the medial wall thickening and uneven wall thickness or crinkle, and in the process of using titanium pipe back to withstand erosion, due to the back wall thin easy early damage, make pipe whole life greatly reduced.

4. Cast titanium pipe: although it is no seam titanium pipe, but the wall thickness (at least 5mm) and the pipe wall thickness (2mm~4mm) can not match, so as to increase the transmission resistance, and the surface finish is poor, the more important is that there are a lot of holes and other defects produced by the internal, seriously affect the corrosion resistance and life.

The above titanium tube is far from meeting the current requirements, and the advent of push titanium tube, is quickly accepted by users and welcomed because push titanium tube has its own characteristics.

Titanium welded pipe processing is no seam titanium pipe as the billet, in the special push extrusion machine using billet diameter is less than the finished product diameter push extrusion molding, in the process of forming, the tube billet expansion. Stress analysis shows that the stress is different in different parts, but under bidirectional compression, that is, axial compression, radial compression and circumferential tension, the stress is always stretched.
