Three methods and process of stamping titanium tee

The titanium tee is formed by stamping process by using seamless tube billet, mainly by extrusion. The mechanical properties of the workpiece are better than that of the welded tee. The process of stamping forming is mainly composed of three methods: packing bulging, hydraulic bulging and hot pressing. The specific process of each method is as follows:

One, packing extrusion forming:
Packing extrusion forming technology, using internal filling straight tube billet extrusion forming. After putting the tube blank into the mould cavity, the mould is closed, and then the punch with the same diameter size is pushed from both sides at the same speed, and the tube blank is extruded from the radial hole opened on the mould with the filler under the action of pressure at both ends. In order to prevent the branch in the packing pressure under the action of bursting, a balance punch in the radial hole of the die, on the extruded branch applied enough balance pressure to support the violent expansion of the branch.

The wall thickness of the titanium tee pipe extruded by the packing extrusion forming process is the same in all directions, the pier deformation is very small, and the extrusion part height is 2~ 3 times of the pipe diameter. The filler and the metal tube move synchronously in the mold cavity, and the inner wall of the pipe fittings is not damaged by mechanical scratching. One of the key technologies of this process is the selection of bulging medium filler, bulging medium mainly includes paraffin, butter, clay, nylon, silicone rubber and polyurethane rubber, etc. Nylon, polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber and other media can be used for the three-way parts with high requirements on the inner wall; And for the inner wall requirements are not too high or no requirements of the workpiece can be used as a medium paraffin, recyclable, and low cost.

Two, hydraulic bulging:
Three-way hydraulic bulging is a forming process of expanding out of branch pipe by axial compensation of metal material. Its working principle is to use the hydraulic machine, the tube blank with the same diameter as the titanium tee into the cavity, pressing the mold, injected into the tube blank liquid, after the hydraulic machine two horizontal cylinder synchronous relative movement extrusion tube blank, the volume of the tube blank becomes smaller, the liquid in the tube blank with the tube blank volume becomes smaller and the pressure increases, Under the double action of the left and right axes to the extrusion pressure, the high-pressure liquid of the billet flows along the inner cavity of the mold and expands the required shape and size of the branch pipe. In order to prevent the rupture of the branch, the balance force of a balance punch should be added to support the violent deformation of the branch.

Hydraulic bulging titanium tee suitable for forming materials as cold hardening tendency of relatively low carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, including some non-ferrous metal materials, such as copper, aluminum, titanium, etc.

Three, hot pressing:
Hot pressing is pressed into three after heating, low tonnage of equipment required for material molding. Its process is to flatten the tube blank larger than the diameter of the titanium tee to the size of the tee diameter, and make a hole in the branch pipe, and heat the tube blank. During the radial compression process, the metal flows in the direction of the branch pipe, forming the branch pipe under mold stretching. The whole process of hot forming is through the radial compression of the tube blank and the drawing process of the branch tube. The difference between the forming tee and the hydraulic bulging lies in that the metal of the branch tube of the three way is compensated by the radial movement of the tube blank, so it is also called the radial compensation process.

Hot pressing titanium tee is suitable for low carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel materials, especially large diameter and thicker pipe wall tee, often use hot pressing forming process to manufacture.
