Influence of different zirconium sources on preparation of zirconia nanometer powder by polyacrylamide gel method

ZrO2: Nanometer powder is widely used in thermal barrier coating, solid fuel cell, catalyst, compact ceramics and other fields due to its excellent physical and chemical properties, such as high melting point, low thermal conductivity, good thermal stability and high temperature ionic conductivity. In the advanced ceramic technology, the size of the northern beginning powder has a great impact on the sintering and application performance of the final ceramic products, so the synthesis of ZrO2 nano powder appears to be very important. There are many commonly used methods to prepare ZrO2 and nano powder, such as hydrothermal synthesis, microemulsion, coprecipitation and sol-gel method. Among them, polyacrylamide gel method, as an improved sol-gel method, has the advantages of low cost, simple operation, adjustable powder composition and so on, which shows great advantages in the preparation of nano powder materials. Studies have shown that the polyacrylamide gel method can be used to prepare ZrO2 nano powder with fine particles, uniform particle size distribution and high phase purity. The types of complexing agents, the ratio of monomer to crosslinking agent, the pH value of the precursor solution and the heat treatment temperature of the dry gel are the factors influencing the microemulsion, coprecipitation and sol-gel l8-10 prepared by the polyacrylamide gel method. Among them, polyacrylamide gel method, as an improved sol-gel method, has the advantages of low cost, simple operation, adjustable powder composition and so on, which shows great advantages in the preparation of nano powder materials. Studies have shown that the polyacrylamide gel method can be used to prepare ZrO2 nano powder with fine particles, uniform particle size distribution and high phase purity. The type of complexing agent, the ratio of monomer to crosslinking agent, the pH value of precursor solution and the heat treatment temperature of dry gel all have great influence on the properties of the nanometer powder prepared by polyacrylamide gel method. In addition, the synthesis and preparation of red gum precursor is still an important factor affecting the phase purity, morphological characteristics and particle size distribution of nano powder. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a comparative study on the influence of different zirconium sources on the synthesis process and properties of ZrO2 nanometer powder.
