Tungsten alloy penetrator

Tungsten penetrators rely on the kinetic energy of the tungsten core to penetrate armor and destroy targets. It has high initial speed, long direct range and high shooting accuracy. Naval guns, coastal guns, anti-aircraft guns and aircraft guns are equipped with the shell.

It can be used to damage armored targets such as tanks, self-propelled artillery, armored vehicles and ships, as well as non-armored metal structural technical weapons such as aircraft, helicopters, automobiles, rocket launchers, missile launch carriers, command vehicles, communication vehicles and radars. It can also be used to break up strong defences

. Tungsten alloy penetrators rely on high temperature and high pressure gas in the chamber to obtain a lot of initial kinetic energy, and tank armor to a hardness contest. Under strong stress, the armor walls slowly caved and eventually cracked, killing the living forces and destroying the tank's internal systems.

In the traditional armor-piercing projectile, there is a small amount of explosives and a fuse in the projectile body. Although the projectile head has been broken, the projectile body still has a strong inertia, so it will continue to charge forward. When the impact force reaches a certain value, the fuze is triggered and ignited, causing the explosion of the projectile charge. At this time, on the square centimeter area, can produce tens of tons to hundreds of tons of high pressure, thereby killing the crew inside the tank, destruction of weapons and equipment.

Compared with traditional penetrators, tungsten penetrators are not filled with explosives but with tungsten core. After penetrating armor, they rely on high-speed flying armor fragments and projectile core fragments to kill personnel and destroy equipment in the armor target.

Tungsten alloy penetrant core is a kind of high specific gravity tungsten alloy product with high density, excellent thermal stability and large section density.
