Export growth of tungsten products slowed down and remained high

According to statistics from the China tungsten association, in 2017, China's tungsten exports totaled 35,401 tons (including cemented carbide and metal discount), up 27.29% year on year and the highest since 2008.Among them, the export of 6,417 tons of hard alloy (the amount of metal folded) increased by 11.78% year on year, a record high, 5.8 times as much as in 2000, and the export of $380 million, an increase of 12.43% year on year. In the third quarter of 2018, China's export growth of tungsten slowed down significantly, but remained at a high level despite market expectations, including trade frictions between China and the United States and increased pressure on global economic growth. According to statistics from the China tungsten association, in the first three quarters of this year, China exported 29,145 tons of tungsten products (including carbides and metals), up 1.07% year on year and 13.87 percentage points slower than in the first half of this year. In the first three quarters of this year, China's cumulative export volume reached us $1.385 billion, up 39.70% year on year and 24.69 percentage points slower than in the first half of this year. Among them, the export of 5,462 tons of hard alloy (metal discount) increased by 17.55% year on year, 3.29 percentage points slower than that in the first half of the year. Exports totaled us $406 million, up 28.95 percent year on year and 10.56 percent slower than in the first half of the year.
